It’s hard to find anyone these days who hasn’t seen a loved one need home care. I’ve had several family members need care and I’ve seen the very best and very worst of caregiving.I’ve seen how incredibly transformative excellent home care can be. Members of my family who had great caregivers had longer, happier, more fulfilling lives. They felt supported and valued and they moved into the final phases of their lives in comfort and grace. And that’s why, when we moved to Charleston to be closer to family, we wanted to bring our appreciation for exceptional home care with us. We believe that home care doesn’t have to be mediocre. It doesn’t have to be someone paid minimum wage to sit and watch tv or play on their phone. The best caregivers are wise, kind, engaging, knowledgeable, and generous with their time and spirit.When I come to work everyday, I’m proud of what we’re building here. We see it as a mission, a chance to contribute to our community.We know that when we meet with clients and their families, we are promising a level of care that will change lives. It will give families peace of mind. It will give our clients peace in their hearts.That’s why I wanted to bring Commonwise Home Care to Charleston.
