Commonwise – Your Alternative to Assisted Living
Commonwise offers a refreshing alternative to traditional nursing home services.
We select and train caregivers thoughtfully.
We believe caregiving is a calling, and not everyone is a good fit. Through our proprietary hiring and training process (Caregiver University), we ensure every Commonwise Caregiver has the skills and knowledge to enrich your loved one’s life.
We provide trained caregivers for dementia.
Receiving a dementia diagnosis for a loved one can be tough, it’s even more challenging to care for them. All our caregivers receive training that equips them to professionally and compassionately care for seniors with dementia.
We offer 24/7 personalized home care.
Through extensive training and years of experience, Commonwise Home Care confidently provides high-quality care to elderly adults. Our dedication to better home care directly benefits families like yours.
We are a local in-home healthcare agency.
Virginia is where it all started for Commonwise Home Care, and we continue to expand our services locally. We’ve helped hundreds of seniors safely age at home, giving families peace of mind since 2013.

About Commonwise At-home Care in Williamsburg

“From my first call seeking services until the Caregiver called me at 8 AM the morning my Mom passed, everyone with your company was first class. I threw a couple of last minute curve balls at Michelle when another company informed us they could not fulfil existing scheduled care taker hours. She was understanding, confident, and always came through with good news to fill the gaps (and ease the stress). Bottom line…I would refer your company to anybody.”
“My mom needed this round-the clock care for several months, and Commonwise Home Care of Richmond was truly a blessing for our family. Each and every caregiver was friendly, kind, compassionate, intelligent, and seemed to know just what my mom needed – some quiet time, to watch an up-lifting Hallmark movie, or engage in animated conversation.”
“I can’t thank you enough for your help in getting my uncle home and then in caring for him once he was there. I was able to bring my dad and mom to see him on Sunday, and it meant so much to be able to touch him and talk to him. You helped make a terrible situation substantially better – he deserved to be able to die at home surrounded by those who love him. Also, as advertised, you caretakers truly were top notch. Again, thank you. I’ll recommend you to anyone who’ll listen.”
