Jeffrey Grossman,
Founder & CEO
Inspired by his mother’s battle with cancer and his father's work as a hospice medical director, Jeffrey graduated law school with hopes to honor his personal ties to caregiving.
-
After working closely with other home care services, however, Jeffrey quickly realized the system rarely bred quality. Instead, care services prioritized profit at the cost of caregivers, clients, and their loved ones, amplifying the stress and uncertainty of those in vulnerable situations.
Jeffrey founded Commonwise as an antidote to chronic industry shortcomings. He worked to build an infrastructure built upon more than good intentions—one that didn’t just dispatch caregivers, but hired them meticulously, trained them thoughtfully, and supported them robustly. He created a structure in which caregivers aren’t just aides, but warm hosts, assisting clients in their homes with dedication and grace. In his free time, Jeffrey enjoys hiking, spending time with his two kids, wife and dog, Gidget.
David Wilson, Certified Senior Advisor
In the last decade of his successful 35-year teaching career, David found himself becoming more and more involved with the care of his own aging parents.
-
The compassionate care he gave to his parents felt like a natural extension of the care he had been giving to his classroom students through the years. In fact, he felt so drawn to the world of personal home care that he decided to switch careers. After receiving his initial training and experience with Commonwise Home Care, he moved into private practice and returned to school to become a Certified Nursing Aide and a Certified Senior Advisor. When Commonwise approached him about becoming one of its Community Educators, the idea felt like the perfect melding of his life-long passions for education and for helping people.

Our Why:
The Aging Prepared Story
With over a decade of experience in non-medical in-home care at Commonwise Home Care, we've seen many families realize that they need personal care, and haven't planned for it. While many people have made legal, financial, and healthcare preparations, planning for personal care needs often remains unaddressed until it becomes urgent.
Our Aging Prepared Workshop, workbook, and planning model aim to fill this critical gap. Aging Prepared focuses on essential but less-understood aspects of aging, such as where to age and which care systems are there to help. Aging Prepared provides targeted insights and tools to help you and your loved ones make informed decisions, reducing stress and uncertainty about the future.
Thank you for allowing us to support you in this crucial part of your planning. We look forward to guiding you through these important considerations.
