“Instead, she took action and likely saved his life.”
Longtime Commonwise Care Team member Nami Rosado reported in for a regular day of caregiving and ended up saving a life.
We recently received some tremendous feedback on the role that one of our phenomenal Care Team members played in supporting her client’s spouse. Here is a narrative of the event from the perspective of the client’s daughter.
“In May, 2017 we hired Commonwise to provide support to my mother who needed a bit of help with her daily care. We were introduced to Nami, who has been a regular and positive presence in both my parent’s lives ever since.
Last Tuesday, Nami came by for her regularly scheduled shift. She found that my father was sleeping unusually late. She proactively went to check on him and noticed that his hands and feet were very swollen, and that he was shivering. Though not her “client” per se, she had the good sense to notify me immediately and relay his symptoms. As a result, my father was taken to the hospital where he was treated for a serious lung infection.
Nami could have easily failed to identify the situation, or even ignored it, assuming my mother knew and understood my father’s condition. And if she had, he may have died. Instead, she took action and likely saved his life.”
